Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Police Constable (Armed Police Battalion) in Police. Category No: 12/2015. Vacancies: Battalion wise (Anticipated Vacancies): (1) Thiruvananthapuram (SAP), (2) Pathanamthitta (KAP III), (3) Idukki (KAP V), (4) Ernakulam (KAP I), (5) Thrissur (KAP II), (6) Malappuram (MSP), (7) Kasaragod (KAP IV). Scale of Pay: ₹ 10,480 - 18,300/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Battalion wise). Applications must be submitted online on or before 16-04-2015 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-26. Candidates born between 2.1.1989 and 1.1.1997 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post. Upper age limit relaxed for OBC (born on or after 2.1.1986), SC/ST (born on or after 2.1.1984), and Ex-servicemen (born on or after 2.01.1974). Women and differently abled persons are not eligible. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in S.S.L.C examination or its equivalent Physical Standards: Height: Minimum 167 cms (160 cms for SC/ST). Chest: Minimum 81 cms with minimum expansion of 5 cms (76 cms with 5 cms expansion for SC/ST). Eye Sight: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen (Right & Left), Near Vision 0.5 Snellen (Right & Left) without glasses. Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular/protesting tooth, defective speech and hearing. Must qualify in any five events out of eight in the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable.
