Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Fireman (Trainee) in Fire and Rescue Services. Category No: 173/2015. Vacancies: 8 (Anticipated). Scale of Pay: 10480 - 18300/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 15-07-2015 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-26. Candidates born between 2.1.1989 and 1.1.1997 (both dates included) only eligible to apply for this post. Other Backward Communities, Scheduled caste converts and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation as provided under sub rule (C) of the Rule 10 of the general rules. Women and Physically handicapped person are not eligible to apply for the post. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed Plus two or its equivalent examination. Technical Qualifications: • Must have proficiency in swimming. • Preferential - Diploma in Computer Application. Physical Standards: Physical Measurements: Height (without Footwear) 165 cms (160 cms for SC/ST), Weight 50 kgs (48 kgs for SC/ST), Chest 81 cms (76 cms for SC/ST), Chest Expansion 5 cms. Must be certified to possess specified visual standards without glasses (Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen, Field of Vision Full). Must qualify in atleast 5 out of 8 items in the physical efficiency test. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable.
General conditions from the notification
As per Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Services Rules (KS&SSR). Probation period is two years on duty within a continuous period of three years after training. Bond to serve the department for 7 years with an amount of Rs. 3000/- in case of failure.
