Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Fireman (Trainee) in Fire and Rescue Services. Category No: 139/2019. Vacancies: Not Estimated. Scale of Pay: Rs. 20,000 – 45,800. Age limit

18-26. Only candidates born between 02.01.1993 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) are eligible. Usual age relaxation for OBC, SC/ST candidates as per Rule 10(c) of general rules. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Plus Two or its equivalent Technical Qualifications: • Must have proficiency in swimming (tested by practical test: 50m in 2 mins and 2-minute floating ability) • Diploma in Computer Application is Preferential Experience Required: None, but Home Guard Volunteers with 3 years tenure and Fire Fighting training have preferential qualification. Physical Standards: General: Height 165cm, Weight 50kg, Chest 81cm (5cm expansion). SC/ST: Height 160cm, Weight 48kg, Chest 76cm (5cm expansion). Must possess specified visual standards without glasses. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) Part II applicable.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates must submit confirmation for exams via profile. Probation period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. 7-year service bond required. Training includes 6 months at school and 6 months at a fire station.
