Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Fireman (Trainee) in Fire and Rescue Services. Category No: 359/2019. Vacancies: Scheduled Caste Converts to Christianity (SCCC) - 01 (One). Scale of Pay: Rs. 20,000 – 45,800. Method of Appointment: Direct recruitment (from candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste Converts to Christianity (SCCC) only. Differently Abled and female candidates are not eligible to apply for this post). Applications must be submitted online on or before 15-01-2020 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18–29. Only candidates born between 02.01.1990 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. In the case of adult members of SC and their children converted to Christian religion the upper age limit shall be 31 years i.e. candidates born between 02.01.1988 & 01.01.2001 (Including age relaxation as per para 2(1) of the general conditions). Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Plus Two or its equivalent. • Diploma in Computer Application is Preferential. Technical Qualifications: • Must have proficiency in swimming (50m swimming trial to be completed within two minutes and two-minute floating ability at the deeper sides of the swimming pool). Physical Standards: Height (Without Footwear): 165 cms, Weight: 50 Kgs, Chest: 81 cms, Chest Expansion: 5 cms. Visual Standards: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen (Right & Left Eye), Near vision 0.5 Snellen (Right & Left Eye), Field of Vision Full (without glasses). Must be physically fit and possess the standards specified. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) Part II applicable.
