Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Civil Excise Officer (Trainee) in Excise. Category No: 45/2020. Vacancies: District wise (Malappuram: 1, Palakkad: 1). Scale of Pay: Rs. 20,000 – 45,800/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (from male candidates belonging to SCCC community only). Age limit

19-34. Candidates born between 2.1.1986 and 1.1.2001 are eligible to apply for this post (Both dates included). (Note: For members belonging to scheduled castes who had converted to Christianity after adult age and their children, age relaxation is up to 36 years, born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2001). Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed the Plus Two examination or its equivalent. Physical Standards: Must not be less than 165 cms in height and 81 cms round the chest with a minimum expansion of 5 cms. Physique and Eyesight: Certified by a Medical Officer for physical fitness and capacity for active outdoor work. Visual standards without glasses: Distant Vision (Right: 6/6 Snellen, Left: 6/6 Snellen), Near Vision (Right: 0.5 Snellen, Left: 0.5 Snellen). Full field of vision, no colour blindness, squint, or morbid conditions. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates with equivalent qualifications must produce the relevant Government order.

General conditions from the notification
Applications submitted by communities other than notified will be summarily rejected. Selection is on a revenue district basis. NCC Cadets having A, B, C certificates given weightage marks (2%, 3%, 5%). Probation period is two years on duty within a continuous period of three years with not less than 6 months training.
