Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Sergeant in Various. Category No: 716/2022 - 717/2022. Vacancies: District-wise: Kollam (01), Pathanamthitta (02), Thrissur (01), Kannur (01). Scale of Pay: 31100-66800/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Cat 716/2022) and By Transfer from other classes/categories in service (Cat 717/2022). Applications must be submitted online on or before 01-02-2023 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-36. Candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible. Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other backward communities as per rules. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • SSLC or equivalent qualification Technical Qualifications: • Proficiency in reading and writing Malayalam, Tamil, or Kannada Experience Required: Must be a retired Junior Commissioned Officer in the Army, Navy, or Air Force, or hold an equivalent rank. In the absence of such candidates, must have 10 years of military service in the Army, Navy, or Air Force. In the absence of both, must have 10 years of service in the State Police or 6 months of training in the Military. Physical Standards: Height: 167 cm. Chest: 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. (Relaxation for SC/ST: Height 160 cm, Chest 76 cm with 5 cm expansion). Vision: 6/6 Snellen for distant vision and 0.5 Snellen for near vision for both eyes. Must be free from physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular/protruding teeth, and defective speech/hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.
