Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Sergeant (Part I-Direct Recruitment & Part II Recruitment by Transfer) in Various. Category No: 207/2025 – 208/2025. Vacancies: District-wise (Palakkad: 01, Idukki, Wayanad, Kasaragod: Anticipated vacancies). Scale of Pay: ₹ 31,100-66,800/-. Method of Appointment: 1) By Direct Recruitment, 2) Recruitment By Transfer from any other class, category or service. Applications must be submitted online on or before 03-09-2025 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

Direct Recruitment: 18-36 (Born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007). Usual age relaxation for OBC, SC/ST, and Ex-Servicemen applies. Recruitment By Transfer: Not applicable. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must be a pensioned Junior Commissioned Officer of the Army or equivalent in the Navy or Air Force • In the absence of (1), candidates with literacy in English and ten years Military Service in the Army, Navy or Air Force • In the absence of (1) and (2), SSLC or equivalent with ten years service in the Police Force under the State Government or six months Military Training Technical Qualifications: • Working knowledge in Malayalam, or Tamil or Kannada Experience Required: As specified in the educational qualifications (Military service or Police service) Physical Standards: Height: 167 cms (160 cms for SC/ST). Chest: 81 cms with 5 cms expansion (76 cms with 5 cms expansion for SC/ST). Vision: 6/6 Snellen (Distant), 0.5 Snellen (Near) with glasses. Must be free from physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, etc. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent are accepted.
