Who can apply
Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Civil Excise Officer in Excise. Category No: 534/2013. Vacancies: District wise (Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alapuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikkode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kazaragod). Scale of Pay: 10,480 – 18,300/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-02-2014 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
• Must have passed the plus two examination or its equivalent.

Physical Standards:
Must not be less than 165 cms in height and 81 cms round the chest with a minimum expansion of 5 cms. For SC/ST candidates, minimum height is 160 cms and minimum chest measurement is 76 cms with a minimum expansion of 5 cms. Must be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon as to physical fitness and capacity for active outdoor work.

General conditions from the notification⌄
Candidates must pass a Physical Efficiency Test (qualify in any 5 out of 8 events). Candidates appointed will be on probation for two years on duty within a continuous period of three years and must undergo training for not less than three months. A bond must be executed to complete training and serve the Government. Women and physically handicapped candidates are not eligible.
