Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Sergeant in Various. Category No: 143/2021. Vacancies: Districtwise: Palakkad - 1 (One), Kasaragod - 1 (One). Scale of Pay: ₹ 22,200 - 48000/- (PR). Method of Appointment: Recruitment by transfer from any other class, category or service. In the absence of qualified hands, by direct recruitment.. Age limit

18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible. Usual age relaxation applies for OBC, SC/ST, and Ex-Servicemen, subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must be a pensioned Junior Commissioned Officer of the Army or equivalent in the Navy or Air Force. • In the absence of (1), candidates with literacy in English and ten years Military Service in the Army, Navy or Air Force. • In the absence of (1) and (2), SSLC or equivalent with six months Police or Military Training. Technical Qualifications: • Working knowledge in Malayalam, or Tamil or Kannada is an essential qualification. Experience Required: Ten years Military Service in the Army, Navy or Air Force (for category 2) or six months Police or Military Training (for category 3). Physical Standards: Height: 167 cms (160 cms for SC/ST). Chest: 81 cms with 5 cms expansion (76 cms with 5 cms expansion for SC/ST). Visual standards: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes. Must be free from physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular/protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce relevant Government Orders during OTR verification.

General conditions from the notification
Selection is on a Revenue District basis. Candidates must submit confirmation for writing the examination if a test is conducted. Differently abled candidates are not eligible for this post. Disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of KPSC Rules of Procedure 1976 for bogus claims.
