Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Motor Vehicles Inspector (Special Recruitment from SC/ST & ST only) in Motor Vehicles. Category No: 610/2022. Vacancies: SC/ST- 01 (One), ST ONLY- 03 (Three). Scale of Pay: ₹ 55200-115300/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from SC/ST). Applications must be submitted online on or before 01-02-2023 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-46. Only candidates born between 2.1.1976 and 1.1.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in SSLC or its equivalent. • i) A Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education (3 year course) or any institution recognized by the central Government or the state Government OR ii) Any qualification in either of the above disciplines declared as equivalent to the above diplomas by the Central Government or the State Government. Technical Qualifications: • Must hold a current valid driving licence authorizing him to drive Motor Cycle, Heavy Goods Vehicles and Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles. Physical Standards: Height: 160 cms for male candidates and 150 cms for female candidates. Chest: 81 cms with a minimum expansion of 5 cms (applicable to male candidates only). Visual Standards: Must possess the specified visual standards without glasses (Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen for both eyes, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes). Each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eyes or lids of either eye shall be a disqualification. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC approved Universities or Institutions established through an Act passed by the Parliament/State Legislative Assembly in accordance with G.O(M.S) No. 526/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable.
General conditions from the notification
Paragraphs two, three and twenty five (except Rule 3 (c) of Part II of KS&SSR) are not applicable. Candidates must submit confirmation for writing the examination if a test is conducted.
