Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of L.D. Typist (Ex-Servicemen only) in N.C.C./SAINIK WELFARE. Category No: 608/2015. Vacancies: District wise: Pathanamthitta - 01, Alappuzha - 01, Ernakulam - 01. Scale of Pay: 9,940 – 16,580/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From ex-servicemen of SC reservation group of community only). In the absence of Scheduled Caste candidates, candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe community will also be considered.. Applications must be submitted online on or before 03-02-2016 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18 – 50. Candidates born between 02/01/1965 and 01/01/1997 (Including both dates) only are eligible to apply. Includes period of Military Service and subject to eligibility of age relaxation to Ex-servicemen. Relaxation in upper age limit will not be allowed to this post. Selected candidates should not have completed 56 years of age while joining duty. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Plus two or its equivalent. Technical Qualifications: • Lower Grade Certificate in Typewriting Malayalam (KGTE). • Lower Grade Certificate in Typewriting English (KGTE) and Computer Word Processing or its equivalent. • Those who have passed KGTE Typewriting English (Lower) before January 2002 should produce separate certificate in Computer Word Processing or its equivalent. Experience Required: Ex-servicemen with 15 years of service in the Clerical cadre in the Defence Forces (as Clerk/Writer in Army, Navy, or Air Force) are eligible. If selected, they must pass Malayalam Typewriting (Lower) before completing probation. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Certificate in Computer Word Processing issued by Central/State Government Department/Agencies/Societies/Universities after successfully completing a course of not less than three months duration is considered equivalent to KGTE Computer Word Processing. KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.

General conditions from the notification

Selection is on a Revenue District basis. Candidates advised in one district are not eligible for transfer to another until 5 years of continuous service. Candidates already in Government Service holding the same post in any district are prohibited from applying. Candidates must produce attested true copies of military discharge certificates when called for.
