Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher - Social Work in Kerala Higher Secondary Education. Category No: 483/2019. Vacancies: 01 (One). Scale of Pay: ₹ 39500 – 83000/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-02-2020 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

Age 20-40. Only candidates born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.1999 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 43 (Forty Three) years as on the 1st day of January 2019 shall be allowed to the qualified Ministerial Staff under Higher Secondary Education Department for direct recruitment to the category of Higher Secondary School Teacher. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any of the Universities in Kerala. • B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified in item (i) and (ii) above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned.
General conditions from the notification
Applications submitted not in accordance with the conditions stipulated in the notification will be summarily rejected. Documents to prove qualification, Community, age etc. have to be produced as and when called for. Candidates must submit confirmation for writing the examination if a test is conducted.
