Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher (Junior) Arabic in Kerala Higher Secondary Education. Category No: 157/2026-158/2026. Vacancies: Scheduled Caste - 04 (Cat.No.157/2026), Scheduled Tribe - 01 (Cat.No.158/2026). Scale of Pay: 45,600-95,600/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment from among Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe communities only. In the absence of qualified Scheduled Caste candidates, application of Scheduled Tribe candidates will also be considered and vice versa.. Applications must be submitted online on or before 04-11-2026 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • In the absence of B.Ed degree holders, candidates having Master's Degree with not less than 45% marks and who have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) will be considered (must acquire B.Ed within 5 years). Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government. Experience Required: Not specified as mandatory, but teachers with 10 years of approved teaching service at High School level are exempted from SET. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. Exemptions from SET apply for SLET, NET/JRF, Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Ed holders, and experienced teachers as per specified norms.
