Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher (Junior) in Kerala Higher Secondary Education. Category No: 714/2025 - 715/2025. Vacancies: Anticipated vacancies. Scale of Pay: ₹ 45,600 - 95,600/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 04-02-2026 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

20-40. Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2005 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply with usual relaxation to SC/ST and OBC. Relaxation in upper age limit up to 43 years as on 01.01.2025 allowed for qualified Ministerial Staff under Higher Secondary Education Department. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by a University in Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified in items (1) and (2) above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government. Experience Required: Not specified as a mandatory requirement for general candidates, but 10 years of approved teaching service at High School level in the General Education subordinate service provides exemption from SET. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. M.Ed in the concerned subject is exempted from B.Ed qualification. Candidates with Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship in the concerned subject are eligible for weightage marks.
