Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher – Political Science in Kerala Higher Secondary Education. Category No: 389/2021. Vacancies: 07 (Seven). Scale of Pay: 55200-115300/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 03-11-2021 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

20-40. Only candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) are eligible. Usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. Technical Qualifications: • B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed in the concerned subject, B.Ed in the concerned faculty as specified in Acts and Statutes of any University in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed as specified above, B.Ed in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala. • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government. Experience Required: None specified, but 10 years of approved teaching service at the High School level in the General Education subordinate service provides exemption from SET. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable. M.Ed in the concerned subject is exempted from B.Ed qualification. Exemptions for SET include SLET, NET/JRF, Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Ed, and 10 years of approved High School teaching service. 5% marks relaxation in Post Graduation for SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates must submit confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration profile. 3% vacancies reserved for differently abled candidates. Rule 22 of KPSC Rules of procedure applies to bogus claims. Aadhaar card should be added as ID proof.
