Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher in Philosophy, Journalism, Gandhian Studies in Kerala Higher Secondary Education. Category No: 487/2019 - 489/2019. Vacancies: 1. Philosophy - 01 (One), 2. Journalism - 05 (Five), 3. Gandhian Studies - 01 (One). Scale of Pay: ₹39500-83000/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-02-2020 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

20-40. Only candidates born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.1999 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Communities and Widows. Relaxation in upper age limit up to 43 (Forty Three) years as on the 1st day of January 2019 shall be allowed to qualified Ministerial Staff under Higher Secondary Education Department. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by a University in Kerala. • B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government order to prove equivalency at the time of verification.

As per Part-II, Para 2 of the General Conditions and Part II KS&SSR. Applications submitted not in accordance with conditions stipulated will be summarily rejected. Disciplinary action as per Rules of Procedure Rule 22 for bogus claims.
