Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Fireman Driver-cum-Pump-Operator (Trainee) in Fire and Rescue Services. Category No: 26/2015 to 28/2015. Vacancies: Cat No 26/2015 Scheduled Tribe – 5, Cat No 27/2015 OX – 1, Cat No 28/2015 Viswakarma – 1. Scale of Pay: 10480 - 18300/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (from among candidates of the above mentioned reservation communities only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 16-04-2015 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-29 for Backward Communities. 18-31 for Scheduled Tribes. Candidates born between 2.1.1986 and 1.1.1997 (both dates included) only eligible to apply for this post in the case of Viswakarma and OX. Candidates born between 2.1.1984 and 1.1.1997 (both dates included) only eligible to apply for this post in the case of ST and also OX candidates who have converted to Christianity from SC communities after attaining 18 years and children of such parents. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess valid current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for driving heavy goods vehicle or heavy passenger vehicle. Physical Standards: Physical Measurements: For OX and Viswakarma Candidates - Height: 165 cms, Weight: 50 kgs, Chest: 81 cms, Chest Expansion: 5 cms. For ST Candidates - Height: 160 cms, Weight: 48 kgs, Chest: 76 cms, Chest Expansion: 5 cms. Standards of Vision (without Glasses): Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen (Right & Left Eye), Near Vision 0.5 Snellen (Right & Left Eye), Field of Vision Full. Physical efficiency test – Candidates must qualify in atleast 5 out of 8 items. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable.

General conditions from the notification
Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty after he completes the training and examination will be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Selected candidates should undergo a course of training for 4 months and execute a bond to serve for 5 years or pay Rs 2,700/-.
