Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Fire & Rescue Officer (Driver) (Trainee) in Fire and Rescue Services. Category No: 27/2021. Vacancies: 01 (One). Scale of Pay: ₹ 20,000-45,800/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment - SC/ST only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 21-04-2021 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Plus Two or equivalent examination. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess a current valid Driving License of Heavy Passenger Vehicles or Heavy Goods Vehicles with endorsement for driving heavy vehicles and badge. Experience Required: None specified, but preference will be given to Home Guards who have completed 3 years of service and successfully completed Fire Fighting training during that period. Physical Standards: Height: 160 cm, Weight: 48 kg, Chest: 76 cm (minimum) with 5 cm expansion. Must pass a physical efficiency test (5 out of 8 items). Must possess specific vision standards (Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 Snellen, Field of vision full). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates must undergo training at the State Fire Services Training School. A bond must be executed to serve for at least 5 years or pay Rs. 2,700/- to the State Government. Probation period is 2 years within a 3-year period from the date of joining after training.
