Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Station Officer (Trainee) in Fire and Rescue Services. Category No: 047/2026. Vacancies: 1 (One). Scale of Pay: 43,400 - 91,200/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-08-2026 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

20-35. Candidates born between 02.01.1991 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included) only eligible. Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation. In the case of Clerks of Fire & Rescue Department the upper age limit for appointment as Station Officer by direct recruitment shall be 43 years. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Graduation in Science from a recognized University preferably in Chemistry. Experience Required: None Physical Standards: General: Height 165 cms, Weight 50 kgs, Chest 81 cms, Chest Expansion 5 cms. SC/ST: Height 160 cms, Weight 48 kgs, Chest 76 cms, Chest Expansion 5 cms. Visual Standards: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen, Field of Vision Full (for both eyes without glasses). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for the post, or found acceptable by the Commission, shall be sufficient.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates must be physically fit and have capacity for rough outdoor work. Must execute a bond to serve for 7 years. Probation period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Must pass departmental tests (Kerala Fire Force Standing Orders and Practice, St. John's Ambulance Examination in First Aid, Account Test (Lower)).
