Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Driver Gr.II (HDV) (Ex-servicemen only) in NCC/Sainik Welfare. Category No: 141/2023. Vacancies: Pathanamthitta - 01 (one), Alappuzha - 01 (one), Kozhikode - 03 (Three). Scale of Pay: 25100 - 57900/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From candidates of Ex-servicemen only). Age limit

21-39, Candidates born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2002 (both dates are included). Other backward communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Literacy in Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada Technical Qualifications: • Must possess Current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for driving Heavy Duty Vehicle and Motor Cycle • Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for Heavy Goods and Heavy passenger Vehicles Experience Required: Three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil. Physical Standards: Hearing should be perfect. Distant vision: 6/6 Snellen (both eyes). Near vision: 0.5 Snellen (both eyes). Colour Vision: Normal. Night blindness: Nil. Muscles and joints: No paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movement. Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. Qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must be Ex-Servicemen/Disembodied Territorial Army personnel. Probation period is 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Candidates must be prepared to clean and oil the Motor Vehicles and must be able to drive Light Duty Vehicles also. Differently abled candidates are not eligible.
