Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Driver Gr.II (HDV) (Ex-servicemen only) in NCC/Sainik Welfare. Category No: 406/2025. Vacancies: District wise (Kottayam - 1 Vacancy, 3rd NCA). Scale of Pay: ₹ 25,100 - 57,900/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From Ex-servicemen candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste reservation community only). Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Literacy in Malayalam, Tamil or Kannada. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess current Motor Driving License with endorsement for driving Heavy Duty Vehicles and Motor Cycle. • Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger Vehicles. • Proficiency in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles will have to be proved through a practical test including 'T' Test and Road Test conducted by P.S.C. Experience Required: Three years experience in driving heavy duty vehicles either Military or Civil. Physical Standards: Ear: Hearing should be perfect. Eye: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen (Right & Left), Near vision 0.5 snellen (Right & Left), Colour Vision: Normal, Night blindness: Nil. Muscles and joints: No paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movements. Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.

General conditions from the notification
The selection will be made on a revenue district basis. Candidates advised for appointment in one revenue district are not eligible for transfer to another district unless they complete five years continuous service. Every person appointed shall be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
