Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Driver Gr.II (HDV) (Ex-servicemen only) in NCC/Sainik Welfare. Category No: 262/2025. Vacancies: District wise (Kottayam - 1 (One) - 1st NCA). Scale of Pay: ₹ 25,100-57,900/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From Ex-servicemen candidates belonging to Muslim reservation community only).. Applications must be submitted online on or before 03-09-2025 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

21-42. Candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post (including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of General Conditions under Part II). Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Literacy in Malayalam, Tamil or Kannada. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess Motor Driving License with endorsement for driving Heavy Duty Vehicles and Motor Cycle. • Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger Vehicles. • Proficiency in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles will have to be proved through a practical test including 'T' Test and Road Test conducted by P.S.C. Experience Required: Three years experience in driving heavy vehicles either Military or Civil. Physical Standards: Medical Fitness: Ear - Hearing should be perfect. Eye - Distant vision: 6/6 Snellen (Right & Left), Near vision: 0.5 Snellen (Right & Left), Colour Vision: Normal, Night blindness: Nil. Muscles and joints - No paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movements. Nervous System - Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. Qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent shall also be sufficient.

The selection will be subject to special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No.154/71/PD dated 27/05/1971 and Part II KS&SSR. Probation period is 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
