Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Driver Gr.II (HDV) (Ex-servicemen only) in NCC/Sainik Welfare. Category No: 120/2023. Vacancies: District wise: Ernakulam - SC - 01(one). Scale of Pay: 25100-57900/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From Ex-servicemen candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste reservation community only). In the absence of candidates belonging to SC community, candidates of Ex-servicemen belonging to ST community will be considered.. Applications must be submitted online on or before 19-07-2023 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

21-44, Candidates born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post [including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of General Conditions]. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Literacy in Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada Technical Qualifications: • Must possess Current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for driving Heavy Duty Vehicle and Motor Cycle • Must have three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil • Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for heavy Goods and heavy passenger Vehicles Experience Required: Three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil. Physical Standards: Hearing should be perfect. Distant vision: 6/6 Snellen (Right & Left). Near vision: 0.5 Snellen (Right & Left). Colour Vision: Normal. Night blindness: Nil. Muscles and joints: No paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movement. Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. Qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must be prepared to clean and oil the Motor Vehicles. Selected candidates must be able to drive Light Duty Vehicles also. Differently abled candidates are not eligible. A practical test will be conducted. Candidates must possess valid Driving Licence and badge throughout all stages of selection. Probation period is 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
