Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Civil Excise Officer in Excise. Category No: 307/2016 to 309/2016. Vacancies: District wise: Pathanamthitta (OBC - 1), Kozhikode (OX - 1), Kozhikode (Hindu Nadar - 1). Scale of Pay: 20,000 – 45,800/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (from male candidates belonging to OBC, OX and Hindu Nadar communities only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 02-11-2016 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

19-34. Candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.1997 (both dates included) are eligible. For OX candidates who have converted to Christianity from SC communities after attaining 18 years and children of such parents, the age limit is 19-36 (born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.1997). Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed the Plus Two examination or its equivalent. Experience Required: Not applicable Physical Standards: Must not be less than 165 cms in height and 81 cms round the chest with a minimum expansion of 5 cms. Must be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon as to his physique fitness and capacity for active outdoor work. Must qualify in any five events out of eight events specified in the National Physical Efficiency Test (One Star Standard Test). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.

General conditions from the notification
Selection is on a revenue district basis. Candidates appointed by direct recruitment will be on probation for two years on duty within a continuous period of three years and must undergo training. NCC Cadets having A, B & C Certificates will be given weightage marks. No application fee is required.
