Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Marine Surveyor in Port (Hydrographic Survey Wing). Category No: 162/2019. Vacancies: SC-1(One). Scale of Pay: Rs. 39500-83000/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. (From candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste community of Kerala State only. In their absence, from ST candidates only.). Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • A pass in SSLC or its equivalent examination. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess Survey Recorder Class I or Class II qualification of the Indian Naval Hydrographic Branch. Experience Required: Candidates possessing Survey Recorder Class I qualification must have an experience of not less than 4 years in Hydrographic Survey. Candidates possessing Survey Recorder Class II qualification must have an experience of not less than 6 years in Hydrographic Survey. Candidates without experience can also apply but must undergo training. Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)ii of Part II KS & SSR is applicable. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification.

General conditions from the notification
Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he/she joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. A candidate appointed to this category shall during the period of his/her probation pass the Account Test for Executive Officers.
