Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Civil Excise Officer (Trainee) (Special Recruitment for SC/ST) in Excise. Category No: 89/2021. Vacancies: Districtwise - Thrissur - 1 (One). Age limit

19-36, Candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post. Note: In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed upto 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed the Plus Two examination or its equivalent Physical Standards: Height: A minimum of 160cm. Chest: A minimum of 76 cm and with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. Physique and Eye Sight: Must be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon as to physique fitness and capacity for active outdoor work. Visual standards without glasses: Distant Vision (Right: 6/6 Snellen, Left: 6/6 Snellen), Near Vision (Right: 0.5 Snellen, Left: 0.5 Snellen), Colour Vision (Normal), Night Blindness (Nil). Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, Varicose vein, bow legs, deformed hands & limbs, irregular and protruding tooth, defective speech and hearing. Physical Efficiency Test: Must qualify in any Five (5) events out of the eight events specified under the National Physical Efficiency, One Star Standard Test. Endurance Test: Successfully qualified endurance test of 2.5 kms run within 13 minutes. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a) ii is applicable to this selection. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification shall produce the relevant Government order to prove the claim at the time of One Time verification or as required by the commission.
General conditions from the notification
Paragraphs two, three and twenty five (except the conditions laid down in the Rule 3(c) of Part II of the Kerala State & Subordinate Service Rules) are not applicable to this selection. Appointments are made on the basis of the rank secured in the Ranked List subject to conditions laid down in G.O.(P)No.21/76/PD dated 17.01.1976 and G.O.(P)No.25/94/GAD dated 22.01.1994 and rules under Sections 3(c), 17(a), 17(b) of Part II of KS&SSR 1958.
