Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Higher Secondary Examination (Plus 2) conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala or its equivalent qualification. Technical Qualifications: • National Trade Certificate in Radio / Television / Electronics / Telecommunication / Electrical Engineering / Computer / Information Technology or its equivalent qualification approved by Government of Kerala. Experience Required: Two years experience in any one of the fields such as Radio / Television / Electronics / Telecommunication / Electrical Engineering / Computer / Information Technology from any authorised / reputed public / private institution. Physical Standards: Height: 160 cm. Chest: 76 cm and a minimum expansion of 5 cm. Must be physically fit and certified by a Medical Officer of the Rank of District Medical Officer. Vision standards: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes. Must have full field of vision. No colour blindness, squint or morbid conditions. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable.

General conditions from the notification
The Ranked list of selected candidates shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year. Differently Abled and female candidates are not eligible. Candidates must undergo 12 months basic training. A bond of Rs. 1,00,000/- to serve for 5 years after training is required. Probation period is 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
