Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Civil Excise Officer (Trainee) in Excise. Category No: 739/2023 - 741/2023. Vacancies: District-wise: Thrissur - 1 (Dheevara - Cat. No. 739/2023), Idukki - 1 (Scheduled Caste - Cat. No. 740/2023), Idukki - 1 (Scheduled Tribe - Cat. No. 741/2023). Scale of Pay: ₹ 27,900 - 63,700/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (District-wise). Applications must be submitted online on or before 31-01-2024 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

Dheevara Community: 19 - 34 (Candidates should be born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2004). SC/ST Community: 19 - 36 (Candidates should be born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2004, including the relaxation in Para 2(1) of General Conditions). Upper age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Passed Plus Two or equivalent examination. Physical Standards: Dheevara: Height - minimum 165 cm, Chest - minimum 81 cm (minimum 5 cm expansion). SC/ST: Height - minimum 160 cm, Chest - minimum 76 cm (minimum 5 cm expansion). Must possess robust health and physical capacity to perform outdoor duties certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant. Must have prescribed standards of vision without glasses. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Government Orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced at the time of Commission's request.

General conditions from the notification
The selection to the post will be subject to special rules dated 27.05.1971. Candidates appointed will be on probation for a total period of not less than 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Candidates must undergo basic training for not less than 6 months (minimum 180 working days) as directed by the Excise Commissioner.
