Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala. • B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject acquired through a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any University in Kerala. • In the absence of candidates with B.Ed in the concerned subject, B.Ed degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of candidates with B.Ed as specified above, B.Ed degree in any subject acquired through a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any University in Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by any agency authorized by the Government of Kerala. Experience Required: Not specified, but preference is given to candidates with Ph.D/M.Phil degrees or Junior Research Fellowship/National Eligibility Test (NET). Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must produce the Government Order proving equivalency at the time of verification.

Candidates must be members of the Scheduled Tribe community. Appointment is subject to KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii). Selected candidates shall be on probation for a period of two years within a continuous period of three years. Candidates must confirm their participation for the exam via their profile.
