Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher in Higher Secondary Education. Category No: 575/2014 to 577/2014. Vacancies: 575/2014: 2 (Two), 576/2014: 2 (Two), 577/2014: 5 (Five). Scale of Pay: 20,740 – 36,140 /-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes & Scheduled Tribes only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 28-01-2015 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

20 – 45. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1969 and 01.01.1994 (both dates included) are eligible. In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Masters Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any of the Universities in Kerala. • B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree as specified above, persons with B.Ed degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government. Experience Required: Teachers who have completed Ten (10) years of approved teaching service at the High School Level in the General Education subordinate service shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Part II Rule 10(a)ii of KS&SSR regarding qualification is applicable for this selection. Persons who have acquired M.Ed in the subject concerned recognized by any of the universities in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification.

The ranked list of selected candidates shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. Paragraphs two, three and twenty five (except the conditions laid down in the Rule 3 (C) of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules) are not applicable to this selection.
