Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Marine Surveyor in Port (Hydrographic Survey Wing). Category No: 572/2021. Vacancies: Scheduled Caste (SC) - 1 (One). Scale of Pay: ₹ 55,200 – 1,15,300/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (from Scheduled Caste candidates of Kerala state only. In the absence of SC candidates, applications of Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates will be considered).. Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-01-2022 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in SSLC or its equivalent. Technical Qualifications: • Survey Recorder Class-I or Class-II qualification awarded by the Indian Naval Hydrographic Branch. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Equivalency certificate / Government order proving equivalency should be produced at the time of verification.

Direct Recruitment (from Scheduled Caste candidates of Kerala state only. In the absence of SC candidates, applications of Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates will be considered).
General conditions from the notification
Candidates selected shall undergo training after joining duty. Survey Recorder Class I holders shall undergo training in Hydrographic Survey for 4 years and Class II holders for 6 years. Probation period is two years on a total service of three years within a continuous period. Must pass Account test for Executive Officers during probation.
