Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Police Constable (Trainee) (Armed Police Battalion) in Kerala Police. Category No: 563/2025. Vacancies: Battalion wise anticipated vacancies (Thiruvananthapuram (SAP), Pathanamthitta (KAP III), Idukki (KAP V), Ernakulam (KAP I), Thrissur (KAP II), Malappuram (MSP), Kasaragod (KAP IV)). Scale of Pay: ₹ 31,100 - 66,800/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Battalion wise). Applications must be submitted online on or before 14-01-2026 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18 – 26. Candidates born between 02.01.1999 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Maximum age limit shall be relaxed up to 29 years for OBC candidates, 31 years for SC/ST candidates, and 41 years for Ex-servicemen. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in HSE (Plus Two) or its equivalent. Physical Standards: Height: Minimum 168 cm (160 cm for SC/ST candidates). Chest: Minimum 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm (76 cm with 5 cm expansion for SC/ST candidates). Eye Sight: Distant Vision - Right Eye 6/6 Snellen, Left Eye 6/6 Snellen; Near Vision - Right Eye 0.5 Snellen, Left Eye 0.5 Snellen without glasses. Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, Varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Must qualify in any five events out of eight events specified of the National Physical Efficiency, One Star Standard Test. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates who have failed in the HSE (Plus Two) shall also be considered if sufficient number of qualified candidates are not available.
