Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Civil Excise Officer in Excise. Category No: 535/2013. Vacancies: 3% of vacancies from both male/female candidates (Last Grade Service). Scale of Pay: 10,480 – 18,300/-. Method of Appointment: Recruitment by Transfer. Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-02-2014 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed the plus two examination or its equivalent. Experience Required: Must be a member of the Last Grade Service employed in the Excise Department. Physical Standards: Minimum height 162 cms. Must be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon as to his physique Fitness and capacity for active outdoor work. Candidates shall pass the Physical Efficiency test (National Physical Efficiency one Star Standard test) conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Plus two examination or its equivalent.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates appointed by transfer will be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years and shall undergo a training for not less than three months. A bond must be executed to complete training and serve the Government. The conditions laid down in sub para VII of the para 2 and para 5 of General conditions are not applicable for this post.
