Category No: 453/2025. Vacancies: Anticipated. Scale of Pay: ₹ 43,400 – 91,200/-. Method of Appointment: By Direct Recruitment from qualified Executive Staff working in the Prisons and Correctional Services department who are approved probationers in any post in the department.. Applications must be submitted online on or before 31-12-2025 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and other Backward communities are eligible for age relaxation as per rules. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Bachelor Degree of a recognized University. Physical Standards: Must be physically fit and possess minimum physical standards: Height - at least 165 cms (160 cms for SC/ST candidates), Chest - 81.3 cms round the chest on full expiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cms. Women and Differently abled candidates are not eligible. Vision standards without glasses: Distant Vision (Right Eye: 6/6 Snellen, Left Eye: 6/6 Snellen), Near Vision (Right Eye: 0.5 Snellen, Left Eye: 0.5 Snellen), full field of vision. Must be free from colour blindness, squint, morbid conditions, and apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) Part II applicable. Qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent shall be sufficient.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates are required to acquaint themselves with the general conditions given in Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules 1957. Applications not submitted in accordance with terms and conditions will be rejected. Probation period is two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
