Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Driver Gr.II (HDV) (Ex-servicemen only) in NCC/Sainik Welfare. Category No: 420/2024. Vacancies: District wise: Thrissur (2), Kottayam (1), Palakkad (1). Scale of Pay: ₹ 25,100-57,900/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From Ex-servicemen candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste reservation community only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 04-12-2024 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

21-44. Candidates born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply, including relaxation as per para 2 (i) of General Conditions under Part II. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Literacy in Malayalam, Tamil or Kannada Technical Qualifications: • Must possess current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for driving heavy duty vehicles and Motor Cycle • Proficiency in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles will have to be proved through a practical test including 'T' Test and Road Test conducted by P.S.C. Experience Required: Three years experience in driving heavy duty vehicles either Military or Civil. Physical Standards: Ear: Hearing should be perfect. Eye: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 Snellen, Colour Vision Normal, Night blindness Nil. Muscles and joints: No paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movements. Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. Qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must be Ex-Servicemen/Disembodied Territorial Army personnel. Selection is on a revenue district basis. Probation period is 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Candidates must be prepared to clean and oil the Motor Vehicles. Selected candidates must be able to drive Light Duty Vehicles also. Differently Abled candidates are not eligible.
