Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Civil Excise Officer (Trainee) in Excise. Category No: 341/2016. Vacancies: 3% of vacancies earmarked for Recruitment By Transfer. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed the plus two examination or its equivalent. Experience Required: Must be a member of the Last Grade Service in the Excise Department. Physical Standards: Minimum height of 162 cms. Must be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon as to physique fitness and capacity for active outdoor work. Must possess specific visual standards (Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes without glasses). Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Must qualify in the Endurance Test (2 km race within 13 mins for males, 15 mins for females) and five out of eight events of the National Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates must execute a bond for training. Service certificate duly signed by the Head of Office must be uploaded. Candidates must complete basic training to be appointed to the substantive post. NCC Cadets with A, B, C certificates get weightage marks.
