Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Tractor Driver in Agriculture. Category No: 323/2013. Vacancies: Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava - Kollam - 1 (one). Scale of Pay: Rs. 9190 - 15780/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (from candidates belonging to reservation group of Community, Ezhava/ Thiyya/ Billava only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 17-10-2013 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava 19-39, only candidates born between 02.01.1974 and 01.01.1994 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. (This includes the relaxation as per para 2(i) of General Conditions) Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering awarded by the Kerala Agricultural University. Technical Qualifications: • National Trade Certificate in any of the following trades from the I.T.I.: (a) Mechanic (Tractor), (b) Mechanic (Motor vehicle), (c) Mechanic (Diesel), (d) Fitter • Valid Tractor Driving licence. Experience Required: Practical experience of not less than one year in the trade. The Practical experience should be one acquired after the acquisition of I.T.I. Trade certificate. Physical Standards: Medical Certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon proving physical fitness and specific vision standards (Distant vision 6/6 snellen, Near vision 0.5 snellen for each eye without glasses, full field of vision, no colour blindness or night blindness). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: In the absence of persons with the qualifications prescribed under item (1) above, the persons with alternative I.T.I. and experience qualifications will be considered.

General conditions from the notification
Selection will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to special conditions in G.O. (Ms) No 154/71/PD dated, 27-05-1971 and G.O. (MS) No. 4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961 regarding inter-district transfers. Applications submitted by candidates belonging to other communities will be summarily rejected.
