Age limit

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must be able to read and write English. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess a certificate of competency as Engine Driver granted under the minor ports Harbour Craft Rules OR Driving License under the Travancore public canals and public ferries Act OR Such other certificate of competency as Engine Drivers recognised by the Government. Experience Required: Must have Two Years experience in handling Marine Diesel Engine. Physical Standards: Distant Vision: 6/6 snellen (Right & Left eye). Near Vision: 0.5 snellen (Right & Left eye). Each eye must have full field of vision. Squint or any morbid condition of the eyes or eyelids (e.g. Trachoma) shall be deemed to be a disqualification. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Not specified

Selection is on a Revenue District basis. Candidates advised for appointment are not eligible for transfer to another district unless they complete five years of continuous service. Candidates already in Government service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited from applying again.
