Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Degree in Modern Medicine or equivalent qualification (Equivalent qualification means those qualifications recognised as equivalent by the Medical Council of India) Technical Qualifications: • Valid Registration with the Travancore-Cochin Medical Council Experience Required: Not applicable Physical Standards: Differently abled candidates with Locomotor disability/Cerebral Palsy, Blindness and Low Vision are eligible to apply. Candidates with Hearing impairment are not eligible. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the relevant Government Order/equivalency Certificate at the time of verification.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must follow Part II of the Gazette Notification. Compulsory 4 years of service in Defence or services connected with Defence within the first 10 years of service is required (exemptions apply for those over 45 and differently abled). Confirmation for exam is mandatory if a test is conducted.
