Who can apply
Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher (in the following subjects) [Special Recruitment for SC/ST (Sl.No.1) & ST only (Sl.No.2-9)] in Kerala Higher Secondary Education. Category No: 281/2020-289/2020. Vacancies: Zoology: 01, English: 24, Malayalam: 01, Physics: 06, Chemistry: 09, Mathematics: 10, Geography: 02, History: 01, Statistics: 03. Scale of Pay: ₹39,500-83,000/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Sl. No. 1 - Special Recruitment from Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes, Sl. No. 2-9 Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Tribes Only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 30-12-2020 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by a University in Kerala.
• B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala.
• In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in concerned subject, B.Ed. degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala.
• In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified in item (1) and (2) above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. OR M.Sc.Ed in the concerned subject with not less than 45 percentage of mark from any of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by National Council for Education Research & Training (NCERT)
Technical Qualifications:
• Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the State Government.
Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules:
Rule 10(a)(ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable to all the posts Sl No.01 to 09. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification.

Appointed candidate will be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Paragraphs two, three and twenty five (except the conditions laid down in the Rule 3 (C) of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules) are not applicable to this selection.
