Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher (Junior) Mathematics in Kerala Higher Secondary Education. Category No: 27/2013. Vacancies: 1 (One) (ST only). Scale of Pay: 16180 - 29180. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Tribes only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 17-04-2013 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

20 – 45. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1968 and 01.01.1993 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Relaxation in upper age limit up to 42 years as on 01.01.2012 for qualified ministerial staff under Higher Secondary Education Department. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto. • B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto. • Msc.Ed in the concerned Subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Regional Institute of Education Sponsored by the NCERT. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the State Government. Experience Required: Not applicable, but 10 years of approved teaching service at the High School level in the General Education Subordinate Service provides exemption from SET. Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Persons who have acquired M.Ed. in the subject concerned recognised by any University in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed. qualification. Exemptions from SET: 1. State Level Eligibility Test for College Lecturers. 2. National Eligibility Test (NET) / Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). 3. Ph.D./M.Phil/M.Ed. Degree. 4. 10 years of approved teaching service at High School level.
