Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Driver Gr.II (HDV) (Ex-servicemen only) in NCC/Sainik Welfare. Category No: 245/2021. Vacancies: District wise: Ernakulam - Scheduled Caste - (2) Two. Scale of Pay: Rs. 18000 - 41500/- (PR). Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From candidates of Ex-servicemen belonging to above reservation community only). In the absence of candidate belonging to SC community, candidates of Ex-servicemen belonging to ST community will be considered.. Applications must be submitted online on or before 18-08-2021 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

21-44. Candidates born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.2000 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of Scheduled Caste Community [including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of General Conditions]. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Literacy in Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess Current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for driving Heavy Duty Vehicle and Motor Cycle and must have three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil. • Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for Heavy Goods and Heavy passenger Vehicles and applications with only one endorsement will be summarily rejected (Vide amendment No. 47/78 to the Motor Vehicles Act). Experience Required: Must have three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil. Physical Standards: Ear: Hearing should be perfect. Eye: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen (Right & Left), Near vision 0.5 snellen (Right & Left), Colour Vision: Normal, Night blindness: Nil. Muscles and joints: No paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movement. Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. Those who claim equivalent qualification shall produce the respective Government Order to prove the claim at the time of One Time Verification or as required by the Commission.

General conditions from the notification
The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No.154/71/PD dated, 27/05/1971. Probation period: Every person appointed to the post shall, from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within continuous period of three years.
