Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must possess B.A, B.Sc or B.Com Degree of any recognized University or its equivalent. • In the case of Ex-Servicemen, the minimum qualification shall be SSLC. Experience Required: From approved Probationers in any of the categories of Assistant Excise Inspector, Excise Preventive Officer, Civil Excise Officer/Women Civil Excise Officer. Physical Standards: Must be Physically Fit for strenuous outdoor work and possess minimum physical standards (Male: Height 165 cm, 160 cm for SC; Chest 81 cm normal with 5 cm expansion. Female: Height 152 cm, 150 cm for SC). Visual standards without glasses: Right Eye (Distant: 6/6 snellen, Near: 0.5 snellen), Left Eye (Distant: 6/6 snellen, Near: 0.5 snellen). Full field of vision required. Free from colour blindness, squint, knock-knee, flat feet, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part-II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable.

General conditions from the notification
The rules of reservation and rotation prescribed in rule 14 to 17 of Part II of KS&SSR 1957 will not apply. 10% of vacancies reported for direct recruitment of Excise Inspector will be filled from this list. Probation: 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Training: Not less than 12 months. Tests: Account Test (Lower), Excise Tests Parts A & B and District Office Manual/Manual of Office Procedure.
