Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher - (Geography) (Special Recruitment for ST only) in Higher Secondary Education Department. Category No: 128/2017. Vacancies: 06 (Six). Scale of Pay: 20740 – 36140/- (PR). Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Tribes only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-07-2017 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

20 - 45. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1972 and 01.01.1997 (including both the dates) are eligible. In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala. • B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by any University in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed. degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by any of the University in Kerala. • M.Sc.Ed. in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by the NCERT. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the State Government. Experience Required: Not applicable Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Part II Rule 10 (a) ii of KS & SSR regarding qualification is applicable for this selection. Persons who have acquired M.Ed. in the subject concerned recognised by any University in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed. qualification.

Appointments are made subject to the rank secured in the Ranked List and conditions laid down in G.O.(P) No. 21/76/PD dated 17.01.1976 and G.O.(P) No.25/94/GAD dated 22.01.1994. Paragraphs two, three and twenty five (except the conditions laid down in the Rule 3 (C) of Part II of the KS&SSR) are not applicable to this selection.
