Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Driver Gr.II (HDV) (Ex-servicemen only) in NCC/Sainik Welfare. Category No: 015/2024. Vacancies: District wise: Kollam, Kottayam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram (Anticipated Vacancies). Scale of Pay: ₹.25100 - 57900/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From candidates of Ex-servicemen only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 03-04-2024 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

21-39. Candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC candidates applies, subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Literacy in Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada Technical Qualifications: • Must possess Current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for driving Heavy Duty Vehicle and Motor Cycle • Must have three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil • Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for Heavy Goods and Heavy passenger Vehicles Experience Required: Three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil. Physical Standards: Medical Fitness: Hearing should be perfect. Distant vision: 6/6 Snellen (both eyes). Near vision: 0.5 Snellen (both eyes). Colour vision: Normal. Night blindness: Nil. Muscles and joints: No paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movement. Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must be Ex-Servicemen/Disembodied Territorial Army personnel. A practical test (including 'T' Test and Road Test) will be conducted. If the number of applications is large, a written/OMR/online test will be conducted. Probation period is 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Candidates must be prepared to clean and oil the motor vehicles and drive Light Duty Vehicles if required.
