Educational Qualifications: • Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering awarded by the Kerala Agricultural University. • In the absence of the above, National Trade Certificate in any of the following trades from the I.T.I.: (a) Mechanic (Tractor), (b) Mechanic (Motor vehicle), (c) Mechanic (Diesel), (d) Fitter. Technical Qualifications: • Valid Tractor Driving Licence (must be current and valid during the entire selection process). Experience Required: Practical experience of not less than one year in the trade, acquired after the acquisition of I.T.I. Trade certificate (applicable only if possessing I.T.I. qualification). Physical Standards: Must be physically fit. Vision standards: Distant vision 6/6 snellen for both eyes, Near vision 0.5 snellen for both eyes, and each eye must have full field of vision. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
