Educational Qualifications: • Degree in Computer Engineering/Technology or any other qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto with not less than 60% marks in the qualifying examination. Experience Required: 8 years experience in Engineering profession of which atleast 3 years should be teaching experience in the subject as Lecturer not below Diploma Level in recognised/approved Institution. Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable. Diploma in Computer Engineering/Technology obtained after undergoing a regular course of study for not less than 3 years with 60% marks in the qualifying examinations and a pass in section A and B of AMIE will be considered as equivalent to Degree in Computer Engineering/Technology. In the case of First or Second Class Post Graduate Degree holders in Computer Engineering/Technology, the prescribed 60% marks in the concerned branch for the basic degree will not be insisted upon.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
