Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Plus Two Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala or equivalent examination recognised by Government of India or Government of Kerala. Physical Standards: Male Candidates: Height-Minimum 168 cms (160 cms for SC/ST), Chest-Minimum 81 cms with 5 cms expansion (5 cm expansion applicable to SC/ST). Must qualify in 5 events out of 8 in National Physical Efficiency one star standard test and 2 Km run endurance test in 13 minutes. Female Candidates: Height-Minimum 157 cms (150 cms for SC/ST). Must qualify in 5 events out of 9 in National Physical Efficiency one star standard test and 2 Km run endurance test in 15 minutes. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)ii of KS & SSR is applicable.

How the age check works

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.

For a 2025 post with the range 18–36 (born 02.01.1989 – 01.01.2007).

What the checker does not decide

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
