19-33. Candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. For SC/ST: 19-35 (born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2003). Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste Converted to Christian Community, who have converted to Christianity from SC after attaining 18 years and children of such parents are eligible for age relaxation up to 35 years (born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2003).

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Plus Two Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala or Equivalent examination recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala. Physical Standards: Male: Height - Minimum 168 cms (160 cm for SC/ST), Chest - Minimum 81 cms with 5 cms expansion (5 cm expansion applicable for SC/ST). Female: Height - Minimum 157 cms (150 cm for SC/ST). Physical Efficiency Test and Endurance Test (2 Km run in 13 minutes for males, 15 minutes for females) along with prescribed medical standards. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates who have applied with equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification, should produce the relevant Government order to prove their qualifications equivalency at the time of verification.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
