18-26. Candidates born between 02.01.1999 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post. Maximum age limit shall be relaxed upto 29 years for candidates belonging to other backward communities and 31 years for SC/ST candidates.

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Higher Secondary (Plus Two) Examination or its equivalent. • In the case of SC and ST candidates who have failed in the Higher Secondary (Plus Two) examination shall also be considered if sufficient number of qualified candidates not available to fill up the Quota reserved for SC and ST. Physical Standards: Height: A minimum of 157 cm (150 cm for SC/ST candidates). Eye sight: Must be certified to possess visual standards without glasses (Distant Vision: Right Eye 6/6 Snellen, Left Eye 6/6 Snellen; Near Vision: Right Eye 0.5 Snellen, Left Eye 0.5 Snellen). Full field of vision, free from colour blindness, squint, morbid conditions, knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, deformed limbs, irregular/protruding tooth, and defective speech/hearing. Physical Efficiency Test: Must qualify in any 5 (five) events out of 8 events of National Physical Efficiency (One Star Standard Test). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable. Government Orders regarding equivalent qualifications/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when called for by the Commission.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict.
